Valentina Ortiz

Doral Conservatory & School of the Arts student

Valentina is a 19 year old classical singer, a former student of Doral Conservatory & School of the Arts since the age of 5. From an early age she developed an extremely strong passion for music, particularly singing and musical theater. At the early age of 11, Valentina got her first role in the opera "Albert Herring", at which time she fell in love with opera. Valentina found a balance between her academic training during her elementary and middle school years and her technical training at Doral Conservatory School of the Arts, a space that allowed her to develop her musical skills and cultivate her passion for the arts. The time came for her high school audition results to come in and she was accepted into the prestigious New World School of the Arts, recognized among the top high schools in the nation and recently recognized as a Magnet School of America - Excellence Award in 2023. During her last year of high school (2022) We lived very closely: applications, auditions, contests, presentations, camps, etc. Once it was time for the results of the applications and auditions, 14 colleges said yes:

•Miami Dade College MDC  •University of Miami UM •Barry University •Stetson University •Florida International University FIU •University of Florida UF •Florida State University FSU •Loyola New Orleans

Isabelle Pratts

Doral Conservatory & School of the Arts student

Isabelle Prats started her musical journey at the Doral Conservatory of the Arts during the summer program of 2018. It was then that she fell in love with the musical theatre genre, joining the musical theatre program overseen by our in-house partner, Talent Zone Acting Studio. During that same year, Isabelle also began to take piano lessons, and as part of her musical theatre training, private singing lessons. It was through these private lessons that Isabelle discovered her talent for opera, which she has been cultivating for the past three years.

Isabelle’s training at the Conservatory helped her with auditions for productions within the musical theatre program at her former middle school. Her training has also helped within her former middle school’s Thespian Honor Society, where she competed at the district and state levels, obtaining Superior and Excellent awards, respectively.

As the time approached to choose a high school, Isabelle set her goal to be accepted to a vocal program. She began a more intense training that incorporated solfège and music theory into her vocal and piano weekly routines. Isabelle auditioned for three different high schools and was accepted to all of them. She continues her musical training at the Doral Conservatory of the Arts.
